Important Notice Regarding County Registrar Motions lists – Amendment to Notice of March 15th

The Courts Service have issued the following notice:
NB: Please take note of one amendment to the below notice of the 15th of March,  correcting a typo – the lists being heard on the 24th May 2022 should read  2nd May 2023 & 9th May 2023  (not 7th May 2023 & 9th May 2023 as previously stated)

To reduce the current waiting times for hearing dates for Civil Motions before the Dublin County Registrar, caused by the Covid-19 restrictions, the following will apply:

  • All matters with hearing dates for the 22nd November 2022 & 29th November 2022 will now be heard on the 3rd May 2022.
  • All matters with hearing dates for the 6th December 2022 & 13th December 2022 will now be heard on the 5th May 2022.
  • All matters with hearing dates for the 20th December 2022 & 17th January 2023 will now be heard on the 10th May 2022.
  • All matters with hearing dates for the 24th January 2023 & 31st January 2023 will now be heard on the 12th May 2022.
  • All matters with hearing dates for the 7th February 2023 & 14th February 2023 will now be heard on the 16th May 2022.
  • All matters with hearing dates for the 21st February 2022 & 28th February 2022 will now be heard on the 17th May 2022.
  • All matters with hearing dates for the 7th March 2023 & 14th March 2023 will now be heard on the 18th May 2022.
  • All matters with hearing dates for the 21st March 2023 & 28th March 2023 will now be heard on the 19th May 2022.
  • All matters with hearing dates for the 4th April 2023 & 11th April 2023 will now be heard on the 20th May 2022.
  • All matters with hearing dates for the 18th April 2023 & 25th April 2023 will now be heard on the 23rd May 2022.
  • All matters with hearing dates for the 2nd May 2023 & 9th May 2023 will now be heard on the 24th May 2022.
  • All matters with hearing dates for the 16th May 2023 & 23rd May 2023 will now be heard on the 26th May 2022.
  • All matters with hearing dates for the 30th May 2023 will now be heard on the 27th May 2022.

Each of the above lists will be limited to 100 motions only.

The moving party in each application must notify the respondent of the new hearing date and proof of such notification will be required for Court.

Please ensure you regularly check the notices and the Legal Diaries as no other notification will be issued.

The Legal Diaries for the above dates will be issued in due course. If your case does not appear in a Legal Diary that you believe it should be included on, please email dublinciviloffice@courts.ie and have the subject line as ‘Urgent – County Registrar Motions’.
