The President of the High Court has issued a Practice Direction which comes into effect from December 5th 2022 and amends the jurisdiction of the Master.
A summary of the changes are:
- The Master will sit physically from Tuesday to Friday
- The Master will now hear applications for Summary Judgment
- The Master will now hear Discovery motions
- The Master will now review Family Law Special Summonses before transferring them to the High Court Family Law List
