It turns out the Pearts team are not only brilliant in their office roles, but also in the kitchen! As we gathered together for the Bewleys Big Coffee Morning for Together For Hospice and Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services, Harold’s Cross, Blackrock & Wicklow we also took the moment to appreciate Aylish Morrissey and Judith Cleary who reached their 20 year milestone working for Pearts this month. Two rocks, (who hate the limelight) and whom we would be lost without!

The morning was also tinged with sadness as we raised a cup to lost loved ones and in particular to Brian, former team member of Pearts, who, this time last year, was residing in Harold’s Cross Hospice receiving the incredible care during his final few months of life. A place no one wants to ever find themselves in, but when that awful time comes, the difference the Hospice makes to all involved is simply incredible. It is only until you have to experience it that you can truly appreciate the value of it.

Waterford Personal Injuries Callover September 23rd

There will be a Positive Callover of all cases set down for the Waterford Personal Injuries List on Tuesday the 23rd September 2025 on a Hybrid basis at 10.30 O’ Clock before Mr Justice O’ Connor to fix dates for the Sittings commencing the 20th October 2025. Please note that where there is no appearance by either side or matters are not in a position to proceed the Court may strike out the Notice of Trial or adjourn the matter generally with liberty to re-enter.

Please note in order to make any application we will require ALL of the below information;

  1. Date of accrual of cause of action in the proceedings;
    2. Expected dates of compliance by all parties with O.39 (46) RSC (inserted by SI 391/1998);
    3. The expected duration of trial;
    4. Whether the hearing will be confined to an assessment of damages only;
    5. Whether VMR facilities for an expert may be required at trial. (The default position unless otherwise sought at the call over is that all evidence at trial will be heard physically in Court)
    6. Details of when and where any outstanding motion in the proceedings is listed so that it may be resolved before or during the sessions.

*** We will not be in a position to make any applications where all of the above information is not provided.

If you require us to attend on Counsel or make an application on your behalf you should forward your instructions to reach us no later than 1.00pm on Monday the 22nd September 2025. No instructions will be taken on the morning of the Callover.

Farewell Jonny – See you in Court!

After around fifteen years of being an incredible team player, to say Jonathan Hanlon will be missed is a massive understatement!

While we are very proud and excited for him to take up his new position as a High Court Registrar with the Courts Service, and only but wish him well, we are still sad to have to say goodbye today.

His cheerful nature and willingness to help, together with his vast array of knowledge was hugely appreciated by all of us and no doubt by many of our colleagues around the country.

Best of luck Jonny, you will be great!

As noted in the Callover, where matters up to and including number 142 in the List are not ready to proceed or there is no Appearance by either side the case may be adjourned generally with liberty to re-enter.
