Re: High Court Civil Jury Hearings Cancelled

Please note, due to the continuation of public health measures as a result of Covid-19, the High Court Civil Jury call over scheduled for the 15th October 2020 has been cancelled.

The High Court Civil Jury action hearings scheduled for the 3rd November 2020 have been cancelled. The next High Court Civil Jury call over is scheduled for the 17th December 2020.

Parties are advised to continue to check the Courts Service website and the High Court legal diary for further updates on these lists.

RE: Master of the High Court

Please note that the Master of the High Court shall resume hearings as and from Tuesday the 6th October 2020.

Matters which were adjourned generally from the 19th March 2020 onwards will be relisted in upcoming lists, please note that the Central Office of the High Court will not be notifying parties individually of the provisional date allocated to their proceedings. Keep reading →

Re: GALWAY PERSONAL INJURY LIST

Please note that it will not be possible to hold the sittings planned for Galway Personal Injury for the Michaelmas Term from 19th October 2020 to 29th October 2020 in Galway Courthouse, as priority has been given to the hearing of criminal matters.

However, there will be a structured week of settlement meetings for the week beginning the 19th October 2020 at the Ardilaun Hotel, Taylor’s Hill, Galway, please see details here.

Please note, the President of the High Court Justice Mary Irvine has issued Practice Direction HC97 and associated Court eBooks of Authority. Practice Direction HC97 transforms and streamlines the making of certain civil applications. The eBook removes the requirement on practitioners to file key authorities which will be retained by the Court

Cork Personal Injuries Callover List to Take Place Remotely

The callover of the list for the upcoming sessions from 5th October – 16th October will take place REMOTELY before Mr. Justice Meenan on Friday 25th September 2020 at 11.00am. Only the first 250 cases on the list will be called over. Four liability cases and two assessments will be listed each day.
