Positive Callover of Limerick Personal Injury List
The positive callover of Personal Injury cases fixing for Limerick High Court commencing 21st October to the 31st October 2019 will take place in The Four Courts, Dublin on Tuesday 30th July 2019.
Please note this is a positive callover, any such case which is not ready for hearing in the next sessions or in respect of which there is no attendance in court at the callover will have the Notice of Trial struck out. The attention of practitioners is directed to a Direction signed by the President of the High Court dated the 27th of March 2016 providing for the transfer of cases from this list for hearing to Dublin by consent of the parties.

Changes to the Front Page of a Plenary and Summary Summons Come into Effect Today
S.I. No. 224 of 2019: Rules of the Superior Courts (Renewal of Summons) 2019 comes into operation today, the 19th of June 2019.
This Statutory Instrument makes a number of changes to the front page of a Plenary Summons and Summary Summons of the Rules of the Superior Courts.
The new wording for the front page of each summons can be found here in Form No. 1 and 2 in Appendix A, Part I of the Rules of the Superior Courts.
Practitioners are recommended to ensure that these new rules are applied to all Plenary and Summary Summons being sent to Pearts for issue as of today.

Changes to Order 8 of the Rules of the Superior Courts regarding the Renewal of Summons
By direction of the President of the High Court, practitioners should be aware of S.I. No. 482 of 2018: Rules of the Superior Courts (Renewal of Summons) 2018 which came into operation on the 11th of January 2019.
The GDPR Celebrates it’s First Birthday
Coinciding with the first anniversary of the General Data Protection Regulation on May 25th was the reappointment of Helen Dixon as the Data Protection Commissioner for another five years.
With regards to her renewed role, she said:
