Covid-19 Notice: High Court Criminal Proceedings and Applications

Due to the imposition of the current Covid-19 level 5 restrictions and the advice from NPHET concerning the projected rate of infection in the community it is not possible to give any definitive date as to when criminal jury trials can safely be recommenced. The situation will be reviewed again on 15th March 2021. Updated notices will thereafter appear in the Legal Diary and on the Courts Service Website. Covid-19 Notice: High Court Civil Proceedings

Due to the continuation of the current Covid-19 level 5 restrictions, the advice from NPHET concerning the projected rate of infection in the community over the coming weeks and other relevant Covid-19 information, it has been decided that until further notice civil work in the High Court will proceed subject to same limitations as were first imposed at the time of the 19th October 2020 level 5 lockdown which limitations were reinstated further to the direction of the President dated the 5th January 2021. The situation will continue be reviewed on a weekly basis commencing Monday 15th March 2021 leaving open the possibility that current limitations may be reduced or removed before the formal end of present level 5 restrictions. Notice re Cancellation of Upcoming Scheduled Business of the High Court Family Law List:

In light of the current Level 5 restrictions, public health guidance and the high incidence of the Covid-19 virus in the community and pursuant to the Notice of the President of the High Court Justice Mary Irvine in relation to the conduct of Civil Business in the High Court, all business of the High Court Family Law List that was scheduled for the weeks commencing the 8th 15th and 22nd of February 2021 and 1st of March 2021 has been cancelled.
