It has been announced that Discovery Motions listed to be heard before the County Registrar for certain March, April and May dates in the Dublin Circuit Court will now be heard on the 5th December 2022.

Colleagues please note, a Positive Callover of matters set down for the Limerick Personal and Fatal Injuries List will take place on Wednesday the 1st June 2022 remotely at 10 a.m to fix dates for the Sittings commencing the 20th June 2022. As this is a Positive Callover, where there is no Appearance by either party the Notice of Trial will be Struck Out.

The Registrar will initially call over the first 400 cases in the list or as many cases as are required to reach the quota of 140 Cases, if this number is not reached the balance of the list will then be called over until the figure has been reached.
If you require us to attend or make an application on your behalf you should forward your instructions to reach us no later than 4.00pm on Monday the 30th May 2022. No instructions will be taken on the morning of the callover.

Please note as per previous provincial Callovers, the Court will be reluctant to adjourn matters that have been set down for over 2 years and a convincing reason for an adjournment will be required regardless of if the application is on Consent.
There will be a Positive callover of all cases set down for the Cork Personal and Fatal Injuries List on Thursday 28th April 2022 remotely at 10.30 am before Ms Justice Butler to fix dates for the Easter Sittings commencing on the 16th May 2022. This will be a Positive callover for all matters which were set down for trial prior to the 27th October 2020, where there is no Appearance by either party the Notice of Trial will be struck out. Practitioner’s please note the arrangements for Easter and Trinity Terms for Dublin sittings of the High Court, as outlined in the President’s Notice here.
With effect from the 14th March 2022 the requirement to lodge Booklets of Pleadings /Motion Booklets for the Dublin County Registrar Court Lists, in the Dublin Civil Office and Dublin Family Law Office, will cease.
Due to the easing of restrictions, the Dublin County Registrar Courts will revert to pre pandemic practices where the Booklet of Pleadings/Motion Booklets are to be handed into Court on the day of hearing and will be returned to practitioner in court.
From 14th March 2022 any Booklets sent in by post will be returned with the notice attached. Booklets will not be taken in at the Counter in the Dublin Civil Office or Dublin Circuit Family Law Office.
Due to the lifting of Covid Restrictions and the Assignment of an additional Judge, the Dublin Personal Injury List will increase the number of Cases listed per day.
From the 1st March 2022 five extra cases will be added to the daily List.
Applications to have cases listed or to have urgent cases re-assigned from a listing later in the year can be made by email to the Registrar Margaret Mulligan or to the List Judge at the daily callover. If an application to move a listing or obtain a hearing date is being made the other side should be put on notice of this.

The Courts Service have announced that the Dublin Civil Office will list the County Registrar Possession cases remaining outstanding from cancelled lists. These matters will be listed on a staggered basis in Court 27 from February 2022 onwards until all have been dealt with.
